Pemberton Wedding Photographer - Dreamcatcher Meadows

Steph + Patrick’s fall wedding was beautiful, moody, and a masterclass in planning and then just letting go and enjoying the ride.

When Steph + Patrick first met, one of the things they quickly discovered was their shared love of the mountains. Back in 2021, before they were even engaged, they were passing through Pemberton on a road trip and secretly thought, “this would be a great place to get married”. Life then took them to Toronto for work but their hearts were still in the mountains. So once Patrick proposed in 2022, there was no question about the location for their September wedding the next summer. Having looked at a couple of different venues they decided on Dreamcatcher. Meadows: a beautiful horse ranch just 20 minutes up the valley from the town of Pemberton. This area is set up perfectly for weddings, with various accommodation options in town and beautiful farms with mountain views that cater to all kinds of weddings and events.

Steph + Patrick knew that there was potential for rain when choosing to have a fall wedding, so they developed a solid Plan A and B with the help of their brilliant wedding planning team. When they woke up to a blustery, moody day, the planning team launched into Plan B, leaving Steph + Patrick able to just sit back and enjoy the ride, which they embraced fully with the help of their family and friends. Their first look beneath the ancient cedars had us all in tears and it was raining just enough that we could blame our wet faces on the weather :) The umbrellas came out for the group shots and then it was time for the ceremony by the river, where tents were keeping all the guests nice and dry. The rain subsided just in time for the ceremony to start, and as it ended, the sun came out and everyone at the wedding enjoyed the last of the light of the day before heading into the open barn for dinner and speeches. Steph + Patrick’s last-minute decision to provide heaters for their guests proved to be a good one, though we like to think that between all the drinks and dancing to the live band, everyone was nice and toasty regardless ;)
