Bowen Island Wedding - Endswell Farm

Allie + Hamish’s rustic wedding was a reflection of this magical place and its people.

We’re of course biased, but we think there is no better spot for a wedding than Bowen Island! With a host of beautiful farms and locations to get married on the island, where better for your rustic wedding? Just a short ferry ride from West Vancouver - “close but a world away” - Bowen is truly a magical spot!

Allie + Hamish brought all the fun to their laid-back wedding at Endswell Farm, one of Bowen's best wedding venues. Hamish is from the Island and all of his friends and family grew up exploring Bowen’s forests and beaches. It wasn’t a surprise then that even though Allie + Hamish both now live busy lives in the film industry in New York, they chose the very farm Hamish grew up on for their wedding venue. They were surrounded by friends and family from as close as down the road to as far away as Australia.

Allie got ready in the recently renovated farm house and Hamish was all ready in his kilt when we arrived. Where better to host the ceremony than under what the family call the magic tree! The farm grows lots of its own food and local chefs and friends were brought in to help host the amazing long table dinner in the field as the sun set. Candid images, all the feels and big smiles were the themes for the day. As the sun went down over the field, family and friends delivered some of the funniest and most moving speeches we have ever heard, and then the party really kicked off.

This was truly a special day to be part of. Allie + Hamish, you’re the best. Thanks for having us.
